Photographer & videographer, Mario Alexander Flores has spent numerous hours in the wild learning the different behaviors of the Sonoran Desert wildlife. While many people believe wild animals are dangerous and may hurt you, Mario has learned that these animals are just trying
to live their lives, defend their territory or protect their young. A rattlesnake
sunbathing in the middle of the trail does not have the intention to chase or
strike at you. A mountain lion hanging out on a tree does not always mean he/she
wants to pounce or harm a person hiking past. And a great horned owl roosting isn’t an omen for bad luck. Come meet Mario Alexander Flores as he shares his fantastic photos, videos and tales of his up-close-and-personal encounters with our Sonoran Desert friends. You won’t believe your eyes.

Jack rabbits are one of my favorite rabbits. We're I live we used to have little cotten tails. When I worked for the city of folsom California. We had a zoo we would get wild animals that seeded. Rehabilitation. We had a male jack rabbit. His name was SER. EDMOND. EVERY TIME I WENT TO THE ZOO TO TAKE OUT THERE TRASH I WOULD WALK BY HIM HE WOULD THUMP HIS HINDE FEET TO GET MY ATTENTION. EVERY TIME I WAS THERE I WOULD GIVE HIM A CARROT. HE WAS RETURNED TO THE GRASS LANDS OF CALIFORNIA WERE THERE WAS OTHER JAC I RABBITS. AT FIRST. THEY JUMP HIM AND THEN HE WAS EXCEPTED. IT WAS A PERFECT FIT FOR HIMM I HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED MY STORY OF HIM. LEMAY. NELSON. VANCOUVER WASHINGTON. PACIFIC COST. U. S. A.
It wasn't sleeping. They are ambush predators and get in that pose when they are waiting to catch prey.
Sounds like you’re turning on a tub faucet!

Welp! That's the closest thing to a "meep, meep" we'll ever get.
Crazy to think my Father, who worked in west Texas a lot of his life.. has killed a rattle snake with a rattle that has over twice as many segments as this one here (this one has 15 I believe) which means the one my dad killed must’ve been a giant (around 33 segments) meaning it shedded over 30 times in its life! In other words it must’ve been as huge as he described it was lol. This snake is definitely big, no doubt about that.
That's my cue to run for the Hills
Little lawn mower
Desert pruner tutel
Bide’s grocery prices aren’t affecting this guy! 😂
He real crazy
Why go out there and mess with them? Leave them alone.
I was moving it off the road so he wouldn't get ran over.
Thank you. They keep the varmit population down.
0:47 WOAH!
Big snake 😮
Straight from hell.
Well, dumb ass back the up
What? He just joined a Mariachi band and was headed to a gig. That's why he had his Maracas with him.
Imagine seeing a predator only for it to insistently try to to push you away for a bit and then stop.
Hunting at the water hole...
